A Tesla Cybertruck appeared to explode outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Wednesday morning. A video shared on X showed the truck being engulfed in flames outside the hotel lobby, with the photographer saying the Cybertruck "exploded."

It's unclear what caused the fire or whether anyone was injured. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said they were "investigating" and that the fire had been extinguished. Local news station KSNV News 3 in Las Vegas said it first received a report of a vehicle fire at 8:41 a.m. local time, and police and firefighters were conducting rescue operations.

News of the fire comes amid numerous reports that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has grown closer to President-elect Donald Trump. Musk spent New Year's Eve at Mar-a-Lago and reportedly attended a dinner between Trump and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.

According to the New York Times, Musk has been living in a cabin at Trump’s Florida estate since before and after Election Day.
