The New York Post reported on January 2, local time, citing sources and the New York City Police Department that a mass shooting occurred outside a nightclub in Queens, New York City on the evening of Wednesday (January 1) local time, injuring at least 10 people. The NBC affiliate website "abc7ny" also reported relevant news.


The New York Post stated that local police and sources said that gunfire rang out before 11:20 pm local time on Wednesday night. Sources said the injured were taken to a local hospital.

The report also stated that a large number of police and ambulances could be seen from the live video near the scene of the incident.

According to the New York Daily News, the suspect has not yet been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
