At the CES2025 exhibition, Qualcomm launched a new SnapdragonFurther expand its share in the PC market.

The chip is manufactured using TSMC's 4nm process and uses Qualcomm's Oryon architecture. The maximum frequency can reach 3.0GHz. Compared with the 8-core Snapdragon XPlus processor, the CPU frequency is slightly lower.

The chip also has a total cache of 30MB, AdrenoGPU provides 1.7TFLOPS performance, while NPU provides up to 45TOPS performance, meets Microsoft's Windows11 AI+PC requirements, supports LPDDR5x-8448 memory, and can provide 135GB/s memory bandwidth.

Qualcomm claims that at the same power level, Snapdragon

In Geekbench single-core and multi-core tests, Qualcomm claims that its performance is 163% and 157% faster than Intel chips at the same power consumption, or uses 168% and 240% less power to provide the same level of performance.

Qualcomm also says its chip delivers 2.2 times better performance per watt than the 120U in the Speedometer benchmark and 2.8 times better performance per watt than the 120U in the Procyon productivity suite.

In terms of battery life,Qualcomm said that in various benchmark tests, including streaming, web browsing, office applications and Teams video calls, its battery life is 35% to 106% longer than that of laptops equipped with the Core 5120U.

AI is also a core feature of Snapdragon X. Qualcomm claims to have a 5.6 times advantage in Procyon AI scores and a performance-to-power ratio of up to 17 times in tests.

PC manufacturers such as Dell and Lenovo will launch laptops based on the new product in "early 2025" and will also offer new mini PCs based on Snapdragon X.

In addition, Qualcomm will further meet the needs of high-performance devices through high-end chips such as Snapdragon XElite and Snapdragon XPlus.
