With the launch on Samsung TVs in 2022 and on Amazon FireTV devices last year, Microsoft will continue to promote services that provide Xbox games without users purchasing Xbox hardware in 2025, which is to make the Xbox cloud gaming service officially land on LG TVs.

However, an announcement on Microsoft's official website stated that the service will start "later this year" and LG TV users (requiring XGP service) will be able to download the Xbox application and play "hundreds" of games in the GamePass Ultimate catalog through cloud streaming, including "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6" and Obsidian Studios' upcoming "Oath".

Microsoft notes that the Xbox app on LG TVs will also include support for users to stream "selected" Xbox games they already own from a current list of "more than 50" games — even if they aren't currently part of GamePass.
