Earlier today, industry insider Nate Drake reported that the Xbox console exclusive game "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" will be launched on the PS5 platform in 2025. It seems that another popular Xbox shooter will also be coming to Sony's gaming platform later this year.

According to Jez Corden of Windows Central, three other Xbox console exclusive games will also be launched on the PS5 platform. "Hellblade 2", "Age of Mythology" and "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" may be launched on PS5 in 2025.

Nate Drake announced that "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" and "Microsoft Flight Simulation 2024" will also be launched on the PS5 platform this year. In addition, he also hinted that "Final Fantasy 7: Remake" and "Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth" will land on the Xbox platform in 2025 and 2026 respectively. Corden said Microsoft may be able to reach a sales milestone this year.

Corden said: "If all this news is true - and be aware that rumors are not always true, because plans can change - Microsoft will likely make more money from content sales this year than ever before. Microsoft has a large number of first-party games in development, and more unannounced game projects for 2025 will be unveiled at the Xbox Showcase, usually held in June."

"For most games, the PlayStation and NS versions will either be ready for launch on launch day or launch within a few months of launch," Corden continued. "The studios developing these games will receive corresponding revenue and investment, which will help them to the next level."

Since the beginning of last year, there have been rumors that the "Gears of War" series of games will be launched on the PlayStation platform.

The first game of "Gears of War" was launched on the Xbox 360 platform in 2006. Many consider it one of Xbox's signature game series. Its "Ultimate Edition" was released in 2025 and is a remake with improved graphics on the original version.

It is not surprising that Xbox will bring its games to the PS5 platform. Games like Pentiment and Sea of Thieves are already available on Sony platforms, with Raiders of the Lost Ark set to launch later this year. However, what makes the "Gears of War" and "Halo" series of games switching to the PlayStation platform even more unique is that they have a deep connection with the Xbox brand. However, as with all rumors, this news should be taken with a grain of salt. We'll know more once these ports are officially announced.
