In the iOS18.3 update, Apple added new Visual Intelligence features to iPhone16 models. After installing the software, iPhone 16 users will be able to intelligently recognize text and add events to the calendar app when viewing posters or flyers using the camera control visual intelligence option.

Adding events to the calendar using Visual Intelligence is a feature Apple promised when introducing Camera Control, and it will be available in iOS 18.3. To add an event, just open and scan a document such as a poster with a date on it, and then click on the date when the feature pops up on the Visual Intelligence interface.

The update also adds a feature to easily identify plants and animals through visual intelligence. The Photos app already provides insights into plants, animals, and insects when you choose to view additional information in the editing interface, but now camera controls will display these details in real time.

When using Vision Intelligence to view an animal or plant, you may see a tappable bubble letting you know what you're looking at. Click on it for more information.

VisualIntelligence is an AppleIntelligence feature unique to iPhone16 models. This function is activated by pressing and holding the camera control button.
