The nominations for the 97th Oscars in 2025 were officially announced today. Among them, the musical film produced by Netflix"Emilia Perez" can be said to be the biggest winner, receiving 13 award nominations including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress and Best Adapted Screenplay.

The film tells the story of a feared Mexican drug lord who undergoes a long-awaited sex reassignment operation to become a woman, and then retires and disappears.

In May last year, "Emilia Perez" won the Jury Prize at the 77th Cannes International Film Festival, and the four leading actresses jointly won the Best Actress Award.

This month, the film also won the Golden Globes for Best Picture in the Musical-Comedy category and Best Foreign Language Film.
