A few days ago, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that Apple may soon launch a new event invitation feature called "AppleInvites" for iCloud. Apple is reportedly calling the new feature "Confetti" internally and claims it will provide a "new way to invite people to parties, events, and meetings."Fast forward to now, and Apple has revealed the new feature and launched a dedicated AppleInvites app on the AppStore.

AppleInvites is seen as a new way to transform calendar applications. iCloud+ paid users can enjoy various privileges, such as iCloudPrivateRelay, HideMyEmail and HomeKitSecureVideo support, as well as all data storage.

AppleInvites is accessible through the iCloud website and is also available on iPhone and iPad through apps downloaded from the AppStore. The official website at iCloud.com/invites mentions that this feature can "create unique invitations for life's most exciting moments."

In addition, users can create invitation cards, choose their own background image, and add details such as Apple Music, photos, maps, and more.

It’s worth noting that the Apple Intelligence feature “ImagePlayground” is also built into the app, allowing users to enter text prompts to create images for invitations. Users will also get access to other Apple Intelligence features, such as Writing Tools, to help them craft meaningful messages for invitations.

An event can be attended by up to 100 members, and there is no limit on the number of events a user can hold. In addition, AppleInvites can be added through the app or web page and do not require an Apple account or Apple device.
