Microsoft holds several large-scale events every year, and the Build developer conference is the largest of them. For many developers around the world, Build is the software giant's biggest event of the year, a place where they can learn about new tools, make new connections, and hone their skills. Now, Microsoft has announced the date for this year’s Build conference.

Normally, Microsoft holds its Build conference in May every year. 2025 is no exception, and if you would like to attend the conference or follow conference announcements online, please mark May 19-22 on your calendar. Interestingly, last year’s Build conference was held almost on the same day, May 21-23. In addition, last year's Build conference lasted three days, but this year developers will participate in one more event.

As usual, the Build conference will be held in Seattle, Washington. Microsoft announced its upcoming event at X and previewed "a new path forward."

So far, there aren't a lot of details about what we'll see during the conference (to be sure, Microsoft will be talking a lot about AI, Copilot, and other AI-driven stuff). Apart from the date and a "Get Notification" button, there is no schedule or any information on the official Microsoft Build website.

As the May conference approaches, we can expect Microsoft to release the event schedule and other information.
