Microsoft Copilot is starting to have a new feature called Deep Thinking, which was previously limited to a $20 Copilot Pro subscription but is now available to everyone. The Deep Thinking feature is powered by ChatGPTo1's reasoning capabilities, but it doesn't yet support an internet connection, which means it doesn't have access to Bing. However, that will change soon.

In an X post, Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman confirmed that Copilot's ThinkDeeper will soon support access to the Internet, meaning it will be able to search for answers and details on Bing, slowly craft an answer, and finally upload its response. The best part is, it will still be free, but with some restrictions.

Microsoft officials also confirmed that CopilotDeepResearch will support Internet/Bing integration and cite sources as always. If you have ever used 1o and the Internet with ChatGPT, you may realize that Internet integration is a game changer in many ways.

By default, Copilot searches knowledge bases and the Internet for answers, but if combined with Deep Think, it can think before answering, which is why the answers make more sense. Due to his strong reasoning ability, the chance of hallucinations has also dropped to an all-time low.

Currently, it does not support searching the Internet for updated information. But what are the use cases if Internet access is added to CopilotThinkDeeper?

For example, if you are writing a research paper, you can use CopilotThinkDeeper to help you find any specific topic and then fact-check it against Internet information.

Another example is students working on projects. If the project involves complex data or new research, Copilot can think deeply about your problem. It gets the latest information from Bing to help you understand the topic better.

But that's not the only big update for Copilot. Recently, Microsoft turned on the Copilot voice feature in new languages, and our sources also confirmed that the Copilot voice feature will support all languages in the future, so you will be able to talk to AI just like you can talk to ChatGPT.
