The 4.5-day work week seems to be too long in South Korea, so a 4-day work week should be implemented. On February 10, local time, Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, said in a speech that in the future, "South Korea must change from a 4.5-day work week to a 4-day work week."
Li Zaiming said that in an era of advanced technology where creativity and autonomy are crucial, long hours of forced labor are not appropriate, and even though working hours in some fields will inevitably become more flexible, they should not be used as a means to extend or avoid total working hours.
“In the high-tech era marked by artificial intelligence, as productivity increases, the role and share of labor will inevitably decline. In the fierce international competition, companies that extend working hours and exploit labor will find it difficult to survive."
In fact, many countries and companies have launched a four-day work week before this. Judging from feedback from some employees and companies, the effect is not as bad as expected, and everyone is more efficient.
If your company also has a 4-day work week and your salary is not affected, wouldn’t you welcome it?
