As of March 1, Tesla’s FSD assisted driving function has not yet been launched in the European market. Recently, Tesla's FSD assisted driving function has been launched in Beta version in North America, and will also be gradually launched in HW4.0 models in the Chinese mainland market this week.
In response, Musk issued a statement saying that Tesla is communicating with European regulators on this matter and is waiting for approval from European regulators, but the specific approval time has not yet been determined.
According to previous news, EU-EVs data shows that Tesla's share of the European market in 2024 will be 15.8%, ahead of established local car companies such as Volkswagen, BMW and Volvo. So far, several car companies in the European market have obtained autonomous driving licenses. For example, Ford Mustang Mach-E has been approved to operate in L2 autonomous driving mode in 2023.
It is reported that people in the industry generally believed that Tesla’s FSD assisted driving function would be launched in the European market first and then in the Chinese mainland market after being launched in North America.
