According to previous reports from Xinhua News Agency, Fang Datong is a well-known male singer and songwriter in Hong Kong. He was born in Hawaii, USA, in 1983. Since his father is a professional drummer, he has been exposed to music since he was a child and began "teaching music by himself" at the age of five or six. In 2017, Fang Datong won the Taiwan Golden Melody Award for Best Mandarin Male Singer for his album "JTW Journey to the West", and became the third Hong Kong male singer to win this award since Jacky Cheung and Eason Chan.
