Google is adding new features to its artificial intelligence assistant Gemini that will let users ask it questions in real time using on-screen video and content. At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, the company showed off a new "screen sharing" feature that lets users share content on their phone's screen with Gemini and ask questions about the company.
For example, the company showed a video of a user shopping for baggy jeans and asked Gemini what other clothing items could be paired with it.
As for the video search function, Google previewed it at last year's Google I/O conference. This feature allows you to shoot videos and ask Gemini relevant questions during the shooting process.
Google says these features will roll out to Gemini premium users on Android later this month using the Google One AI Premium plan.
