Recently, many netizens reported on the Internet that their Apple phones were stolen after enabling "password-free payment", and that their WeChat or Alipay accounts experienced multiple deductions for no reason, with amounts ranging from a few thousand yuan to more than 10,000 yuan. Bills sent by netizens showed that most of the transferred money was recharged into mobile games through Apple accounts.

Previously, Apple customer service responded that such situations among Apple users in many places may be due to the user's Apple account being stolen. Criminals used Apple's password-free payment mechanism to transfer money out of the payment method bound to the account. If they apply for interception in time, they can recover it.
Customer service stated that according to the password-free payment agreement of the Apple system, users can deduct fees from the payment method bound to their account without verifying their password when downloading apps, recharging games, opening platform memberships, etc. to purchase virtual products. When making a password-free payment on an Apple mobile phone, the system will actually deduct the fee from the Apple account balance first. If the Apple account balance is insufficient, the fee will be deducted from the bound payment channel. Apple customer service said that the transferred money is not completely irrecoverable. As long as the money is transferred out through an Apple account, users have two opportunities to apply to the company for interception.
On March 3, reporters from Economic View Live found on social platforms that many Apple users had posted posts to prevent fraud. Subsequently, the reporter from Economic View Live consulted Apple’s customer service as a user. Customer service said that Apple users can upgrade their account security level to two-factor authentication to prevent others from logging in. At the same time, users can also set payment methods. "The payment method can also improve its security level and set some relevant thresholds." Customer service emphasized that if you receive a pop-up reminder that is not operated by yourself, you must pay special attention. "It is not your operation. It pops up and asks you to click Allow or Disallow. Just click Disallow, and then quickly change the password and unbind all payment methods." In addition, if the user finds that his account has been stolen, he can contact the customer service staff as soon as possible to assist in handling it. "The sooner the better, the better."

At the same time, customer service emphasized that Apple attaches great importance to issues related to fraud, and the account security level may be upgraded again in the future. "We are doing related debugging to see if there is a better way to prevent theft. The security level of the account may be upgraded later."
