It was previously reported that the United States required ASML not to provide maintenance for Chinese lithography machines, but the latter has already given an answer. Lithography giant ASML (ASML) announced plans to further invest in improving its global equipment repair capabilities to match the company's growth.

"In 2025, we plan to open a new reuse and repair center in Beijing (China), which marks another important advancement in reuse manufacturing."

According to relevant media reports, ASML will rent office space in Yizhuang, Beijing, China, and build a small maintenance department around 2023.

According to ASML China insiders, ASML has built a new building in Beijing this time as a maintenance center. The original facilities and personnel will move in after the building is completed.

It has been previously reported that after some of ASML's licenses to provide services and spare parts in China expire at the end of this year, the current Dutch Prime Minister is likely not to renew them, and the relevant decision was made after certain pressure from the United States.

The current situation is that about half of ASML's sales come from China. If they lose this market, the blow to them can be imagined.
