RTX5090(D), RTX5080, and RTX5070Ti have been found to have the problem of losing 8 ROP units. NVIDIA’s official statement is that the probability of occurrence is only 0.5%, and they can be replaced at any time. However, this problem has not been found in the RTX5070 that has just been launched. According to German media Heise,They have contacted a number of notebook manufacturers and are working overtime to retest all RTX50 GPUs according to NVIDIA's requirements, including finished notebooks that have already been produced. They can only ship the products after confirming that the ROP unit is complete.

It is said that the mobile version of the RTX50 GPU and the desktop version are both from the same product line. In theory, there is a hidden danger of ROP unit loss, but because there is no product on the market yet, there is no actual case.

But soon,NVIDIA issued a brief statement to the media, emphasizing that the RTX50 series notebooks are not affected by the loss of ROP units and that current testing is a standard process.

When NVIDIA released new cards at the beginning of the year, it said that RTX5090, RTX5080, and RTX5070Ti laptops would be available in March, with prices starting at US$2,899, US$2,199, and US$1,599 respectively; RTX5070 laptops would be available in April, with prices starting at US$1,299.

However, various rumors claim that the launch of RTX50 notebooks has been delayed. It won’t be until the end of March to early April at the earliest, and the initial supply is very limited.

Prior to this, many brands have released notebooks equipped with RTX50 series graphics cards, but they are still on paper and have not been put on sale. Many of them have not even announced their prices.
