Toyota has released a new pure electric mini car FT-MeConcept, specially designed for urban travel. This concept car is only 2.5 meters long and is suitable for narrow street conditions. It adopts a two-door and two-seat layout. The rear of the car has a three-dimensional shape, and the taillights echo the front of the car.
The interior is simple and sci-fi, equipped with a rounded rectangular steering wheel and a full LCD instrument panel. The seats are made of fabric material and support movable design.
FT-MeConcept uses pure electric drive, with a cruising range of about 100 kilometers and a maximum speed of 45 kilometers per hour. It is equipped with solar panels on the roof, which can replenish about 30 kilometers of cruising range every day.
The production version of the car will be launched "soon". Its appearance is consistent with the concept car. More models will be derived. The price is expected to be similar to Citroën Ami (approximately 72,000 yuan). It is mainly targeted at second car users and teenagers.
According to the European L6e standard, most countries allow people aged 14 and above to drive, except the UK.
FT-Me cancels the traditional car key and uses mobile phone control. Parents can limit the time their children use the car. The passenger seat in the car is removable, freeing up 1.6 meters of storage space.
The steering wheel is similar to an airplane joystick, making it easier for people with lower limb disabilities to drive. The exterior design is inspired by helmets, emphasizing safety, and 90% of the materials are recyclable.
Toyota claims that the FT-Me is "affordable and has low maintenance costs" and the mass-produced version will have the best value retention rate among models in its class.
