Warner Bros. Discovery has removed all classic Looney Tunes (1930-1969) short films (1930-1969) from its streaming service Max, which contain very familiar childhood memories of the post-80s generation, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Peppa Pig, Tweety Bird, Crooked Wolf and Pip Bird... The company confirmed the move and said the streamer will prioritize adult and family programming over children's content.

This comes after Warner Bros. Discovery pulled hundreds of episodes of "Looney Tunes" at the end of 2022 and later mistakenly included the series in its list of shows exiting the platform. At the time, the company said Looney Tunes "will continue to be available on Max." Newer Looney Tunes content, such as Looney Tunes Cartoons released in 2020 and New Looney Tunes released in 2015, are still playable on Max.

After David Zaslav took over Warner Bros. Discovery Channel, a large amount of content was cut from the platform. In addition to Looney Tunes, Warner Bros. Discovery last year terminated its deal to stream "Sesame Street" on Max, replaced Cartoon Network's website with links to sign up for its streaming service, and soon after canceled the Coyotevs.Acme animated film starring John Cena.

Nonetheless, the almost-canceled Looney Tunes spinoff Looney Tunes vs. Aliens: Pink Doom was released over the weekend thanks to Ketchup Entertainment purchasing distribution rights from Warner Bros. Discovery.
