As we get closer to the second Unpacked event of the year, new information is emerging about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7. Serial leaker IceUniverse has shared images of third-party accessories for the two foldable phones, revealing some interesting design details.
Previous reports claimed that Samsung would abandon the foldable cover screen in favor of a full screen. Now, leaked images of a third-party device case confirm this information. The Flip 7's case shows that the top half of the device is still exposed, suggesting changes to the cover display.
Then, Galaxy Z Fold7 has a screen protector and looks slightly wider and taller than Galaxy Z Fold6. CAD renderings of the device have shown that aside from some minor changes in size, there won't be much difference between this year's ZFold and its predecessor.
However, the thickness of Galaxy Z Fold7 is expected to be only 4.5 mm when unfolded and 9.5 mm when folded (including the camera bump). This means the upcoming foldable phone will be 1.1mm thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
There are also rumors that Samsung could install a digitizer inside the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is the technology Apple uses in its stylus. Battery information for these two foldable phones was recently revealed, and unfortunately, their charging power will be stuck at 25W.
