Tesla CEO Elon Musk quipped that Chicago and San Francisco, two cities with extremely high crime rates, can best test the bulletproof performance of the company's upcoming Cybertruck electric pickup truck. Musk was responding to a fake news (satirical article) on an American satirical news website. The article stated that Musk wanted to personally drive the Cybertruck to the streets of Chicago to "practically test" its bulletproof performance, but was strongly opposed by his mother.

The satirical article solemnly stated: "Elon Musk decided to put the Cybertruck's near-invincible armor to the ultimate test by trying to drive directly through downtown Chicago... He vowed to obey all traffic laws and promised to wait until the light turned green no matter how many machine gun shots he received."

Musk noticed the news and responded primly: "San Francisco, too. Recently, a bullet went through the wall of my friend's apartment in San Francisco and got lodged in his cupboard."

This is not the first time Musk has satirized the deteriorating security situation in the United States. In September this year, when commenting on the large-scale vandalism, smashing, and looting in Philadelphia, he said: "The United States is becoming a complete clown."
