Microsoft today finally released an "exclusive" feature of Copilot+ PC on Intel and AMD devices. Many of these features are already available on Qualcomm Snapdragon XPC. Microsoft uses the Copilot+PC badge to represent systems that can deliver 40+ AITOPS (tera operations per second), and the company believes that certain AI features in its operating system work best if this metric is met.

These special features include live captions, Cocreator in Paint, RestyleImage and ImageCocreator in the Photos app.

Microsoft wrote:

Last year, we launched Copilot+ PCs, the fastest, smartest and most secure Windows PCs ever. Since then, our Copilot+ PC portfolio has continued to evolve, introducing new chips, devices and AI experiences.

Today marks another milestone as we launch exclusive Copilot+ PC experiences such as Live Captions, Cocreator, RestyleImage and Image Creator on all Copilot+ PCs powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series, Intel Core Ultra 200V and Snapdragon X Series processors. We’re also excited to launch unique voice access features for Copilot+ PC, which are available now on devices powered by the Snapdragon X series and will be rolled out to other devices later this year.

The recent March non-security optional preview update (Build C) KB5053656 introduced these features, and more will be released gradually via a Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR) option:

Some of these innovative experiences for Copilot+ PC are available through the March 2025 Windows Non-Secure Preview Update (requires the November 2024 Non-Secure Preview Update). Over the next month, we will gradually roll out these features to consumers through Windows Control Feature Rollout (CFR).
