A new consumer survey shows Americans are now less likely to buy new cars because of MuskTeslacar. A new YouGov survey found that 67% of Americans would not consider owning or leasing a Tesla vehicle in the future.

When asked why they wouldn't consider owning or leasing a Tesla vehicle, the survey found that 37% of consumers cited Musk as all or part of the reason they wouldn't buy or lease a Tesla, 27% said Musk was "not a reason" and 3% were unsure.

The survey also found that both Musk and Tesla's approval ratings are currently below 40%.

Musk received 39% favorable reviews, 55% were dissatisfied with him, and 6% said they didn’t know.

Tesla's favorable rating was 37%, its unfavorable rating was 49%, and 14% said they didn't know.

When asked about Elon Musk's political motivations, 36% of respondents believed he was primarily motivated to help the country, while 51% believed he was primarily motivated by his own interests. The remaining 12% are uncertain.
