According to Bloombergreport,Claude AI chatbotdevelopersAnthropicA new voice assistant is coming soon to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT-like interaction option. Unless plans change, the new "Voice Mode" feature could be released as early as this month — nearly a year after OpenAI began rolling out its own feature to users.

The feature will reportedly be available on the Claude iOS app as well as other platforms and will include three voices, Airy, Mellow, and Buttery with a British accent.

Anthropic has previously said it is developing a voice mode for Claude, but has not officially announced a release date or other details. The feature was discovered in Anthropic's code by application researcher M1Astra.

Anthropic recently launched a new feature called Research for its Claude AI assistant, designed to provide comprehensive, citation-backed answers by pulling information from online sources and enterprise customer data. The tool is Anthropic’s response to OpenAI’s “deep dive” launch earlier this year.

In addition, Claude is gaining support for Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs, enabling users to query and interact with their Google Workspace content for more efficient task and information management.
