Prototype collector and leaker"Kosutami” More images of a purportedly redesigned power cord for future Apple “Vision Air” headphones were shared online today. Yesterday,Leakinterpretersaid that Apple’s “Vision Air” will adopt a thinner design and replace the battery casing and part of the internal structure with titanium to reduce the overall weight of the device.

Most of the device's exterior materials will continue to be aluminum, but it will come in a "Midnight" blue-black finish. Currently, the Vision Pro is only available in silver.
The latest images of the power cord show an anodized aluminum connector in Apple's unique Midnight Black colorway. The first photos of the Lightning-style connector, which is said to come in midnight black and will be used in next-generation Vision devices, were first released yesterday:
The Vision Pro uses a similar connector, just with a 12-pin pin count instead of 8, suggesting the new cable is part of a more significant redesign, at least for the external battery. The design of the audio ribbon connector appears to be the same as the Vision Pro.
Apple is expected to launch a second-generation Vision Pro headset powered by the M5 chip between fall 2025 and spring 2026, but the company has been widely reported to be working on a lower-cost headset. The latter could be the "Vision Air" device that Kosutami mentioned.
Kosutami has mixed reviews about Apple rumors, but they are the first to say Apple will replace its leather Modern Buckle straps with FineWoven versions in 2023. They also provided the first physical images of the FineWoven Apple Watch strap before the official launch, the new Thunderbolt 4 cable released with the iPhone 15 Pro, the improved heat dissipation design and redesigned battery of the iPhone 16 Pro, and more.
