EA has released a new trailer for its upcoming racing game F1 25. The trailer highlights the level of realism that publisher EA and developer Codemasters have achieved, as well as the vast amount of customization options that players will have access to.
In terms of authenticity and realism, "F1 25" can reach a new level of realism thanks to the developers' use of more advanced technologies to achieve higher-fidelity visual effects. As introduced in the trailer, lidar technology (light detection and ranging scanning) is used around various popular F1 tracks around the world. With this technology, the game is able to capture every tiny detail on the track.
With the help of lidar, the visual effect of the track has also been significantly improved. The trailer shows how the technology can be used to improve vegetation around the track. Using this technique, the studio was also able to add some additional elements, such as cherry blossom trees on the Suzuka circuit.
Visuals will also be greatly improved, especially on PCs capable of supporting ray tracing. If a computer is powerful enough to support this feature, F1 25 will feature more realistic visuals, with lighting acting as it does in the real world.

There are also audio improvements. The game will feature a large number of voices recorded by real-world drivers as well as engineers, pit crews and other F1-related people. Players will notice during the game that the radio communication content will be different depending on their performance. The game will also feature the voices of F1 announcer Naomi Schiff and F1 commentator Alex Jacques.
Customization will also be a feature of F1 25, with the game introducing pre-made liveries based on the branding of the fictional companies that sponsor the career mode. The liveries match real-world F1 car liveries and are designed to be as realistic as possible.
In My Team mode, the game will also encourage players to stay with sponsors by giving them more sponsorship slots and allowing them to earn money by adding more sponsor stickers to their cars.
"F1 25" debuted in March. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with the standard version priced at $59.99. In addition, there will be a "Classic Edition" priced at US$79.99. Players who purchase this version will receive a large number of in-game benefits and can enter the game three days in advance before the game is released on May 30.
