Deutsche PostDeutsche Post's DHL Express said on Monday it would resume sending global business-to-consumer (B2C) shipments worth more than $800 to individual U.S. consumers after a "constructive dialogue" with U.S. authorities.

DHL blamed the suspension, which it implemented on April 21, on new U.S. customs rules that require formal entry processing for all shipments worth more than $800. Prior to the April 5 policy change, this minimum value threshold had been $2,500.
DHL said in a statement on Monday that "constructive dialogue" with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Commerce, as well as "adjustments to U.S. Customs regulations" meant it could resume sending those shipments.
