The on-site customs officers noticed that his gait was abnormal and stopped him for inspection.
After further inspection, customs officers found a total of 40 old mobile phones tied with plastic films on the passenger's ribs, waist, abdomen, crotch and calves.
At around 16:00, another passenger wearing a gray T-shirt entered the country through the same passage.Customs officers seized a total of 47 old mobile phones tied with black elastic bandages and plastic films from various parts of the passenger's body.
Both of the above two passengers had received administrative penalties for smuggling within two years and then committed smuggling again. Customs has imposed severe penalties on them in accordance with the law.
Judging from the photos released by customs, the mobile phones carried by these two people are mainly iPhones, and they are basically old models, including iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone SE 3, etc., in addition to multiple Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultras.
Customs reminder: According to relevant laws and regulations, evading customs supervision by hiding or disguising, and carrying items for which taxes are payable according to law into and out of the country are smuggling.
