Recently, Western Digital completely split its NAND flash memory business to its subsidiary SanDisk. From then on, the Western Digital brand no longer produces and sells SSDs, and instead focuses on mechanical hard drives. However, Western Digital SSD has at least one last stop, and this isBlack disk SN8100, was accidentally leaked by Amazon Germany.

Judging from the leaked information, the black disk SN8100 is a top-level PCIe 5.0 SSD with a standard M.2 2280 form factor.TLC flash memory(Probably SanDisk/KioXia 218 layer), capacity 1TB (it is said that the maximum is 4TB).
The main control is unknown. Judging from the average power consumption of 7W, it may be Huirong SM2508, or it may be Western Digital's self-developed solution. After all, it was demonstrated last year.
Sequential read and write speeds are as high as 14.9GB/s and 14.0GB/s. The former has exceeded any known consumer-level PCIe 5.0 SSD, and even many enterprise-level products have been defeated.
The random read and write speeds are also 2.3 million IOPS, which is also outstanding.
In terms of price,1TB priced at $225, it is indeed a bit more expensive, but it is not necessarily the official price.
