Kingsoft Office Strategy signs contract with BGI Group to replace Microsoft in providing AI office solutions

Both parties will give full play to their respective advantages and accelerate the in-depth application and innovative development of AI capabilities around office scenarios in the field of life sciences. According to the agreement, Kingsoft Office will provide BGI with customized AI office solutions, including document processing, collaborative office, data analysis and other functions, to jointly promote the integrated development of life sciences and AI office.

Zhang Qingyuan said that BGI Group is the founder of the domestic genetic industry. Based on WPS 365, Kingsoft Office will work with the BGI team to carry out technology research and development, AI innovation and market promotion, and explore new paths for cross-field integrated development.

Yin Ye said that Kingsoft Office is a pioneer in domestic AI offices. The two parties have already explored certain cooperation in the past few years. He believes that the formal establishment of a long-term cooperative relationship will help further promote the in-depth integration and innovative development of life sciences and AI.

Previously, foreign media reported that "Microsoft will no longer provide office software applications, including email services, to BGI, a subsidiary of BGI Group." According to internal emails, "Many Office 365 services, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams, are no longer available to BGI employees."
