On May 22, at Xiaomi's 15th anniversary strategic new product launch conference, Xiaomi Group Chairman and CEO Lei Jun officially released Xiaomi YU7, positioned as a luxury high-performance SUV, available in three versions: standard, Pro, and MAX, equipped with Xiaomi V6s Plus super motor. Lei Jun said at the scene that Xiaomi YU7 "cannot be purchased without 300,000 yuan."
All Xiaomi YU7 series are equipped with lidar as standard and are equipped with a 700TOPS assisted driving computing platform, emphasizing high-end intelligent driving capabilities. In terms of body size, the car is 4999mm long, 1996mm wide, 1600mm high, and has a wheelbase of 3 meters. The entire vehicle adopts an electric inward-turning door handle and a hidden design. It automatically flips when approaching and is equipped with ambient lighting. It automatically retracts after closing, taking into account the sense of technology and aerodynamic performance.
In terms of appearance design, Lei Jun introduced that Xiaomi YU7 adopts an extreme head-to-body ratio of 1:3, which brings a more coordinated visual proportion of the vehicle. The new car is also equipped with panoramic curved projection technology, which can turn the bottom of the front windshield into an information projection area to display key driving information such as battery capacity, speed, navigation, and gear position.
The interior focuses on luxurious texture. The interior of the car adopts 100% soft package design, emphasizing the touch of baby skin. The color scheme is available in three color schemes: turquoise grey, coral orange and twilight blue.
In terms of battery life, the entire Xiaomi YU7 series uses an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, with a maximum battery life of 835 kilometers. Lei Jun said that this endurance level ranks in the first echelon of medium and large pure electric SUVs.
Three body colors were also announced at the conference: sapphire green, titanium and lava orange.
