According to media reports, Huawei sued a counterfeit headset for infringement. Under the mediation of the court, the counterfeit headset was quickly delisted and Huawei's legitimate rights and interests were safeguarded in a timely manner.Huawei's FreeClip ear-clip headphones, which took four years to develop, made their global debut in Dubai, China, the United Kingdom and the European Union in December 2023. They have won widespread market recognition for their innovative design.

However, a few months later, a copycat headset priced at only 299 yuan (only 23% of the original price of 1,299 yuan) was launched under the banners of "replacement of big brands" and "full function restoration".Quickly seizing the market, sales reached 1.6 million units in a single quarter, severely impacting Huawei's market share.
Huawei immediately sued the copycat manufacturer, accusing it of infringing FreeClip’s copyright in applied art works, counterfeiting unique decorations, and constituting unfair competition practices such as false publicity and commercial slander. It requested an end to the infringement and a compensation of 11 million yuan.
After accepting the case, the court adhered to the principle of protecting innovation and purifying the market and actively promoted mediation between the two parties. In the end, the counterfeit headphones were withdrawn from the market, and Huawei withdrew the lawsuit, effectively safeguarding its rights and interests.
