Riot Games, the "League of Legends" company, recently revealed its plan to establish an "esports home" in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), a new esports venue and series of facilities. The venue called "RiotGamesArena" is planned to be built at the Adlershof Technology Park in Berlin, Germany; it will serve as a facility for live viewing and broadcasting of professional esports competitions.

The venue will host the "League of Legends" EMEA Regional Championship, the "Valorant" EMEA Regional Championship Tour and other competitive events.

Alberto Guerrero, Head of Esports EMEA at Riot Games, said: “Creating an arena of this scale is a testament to our long-term commitment to continuing to grow the future of esports for our fans, teams and players across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and this facility will set us up for further success in the coming years.”

It was previously reported in August that Riot’s “League of Legends” esports division has yet to achieve profitability.
