According to CCTV News, the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India announced that the search and rescue operation at the scene of this accident, which killed at least 265 people, has ended.

Boeing CEO Ortberg said on the crash in India,The Boeing team stands ready to support the investigation led by the Air Accident Investigation Bureau of India and will follow the instructions of the Air Accident Investigation Bureau of India to provide information about Air India Flight 171.

Ortberg said he had communicated with Air India's chairman to offer his full support.
