According to Reuters, Alphabet's Google said on Thursday local time that it had resolved a brief global service outage on its platform, which affected many services including music streaming platform Spotify and instant messaging service provider Discord.


The company said, "The issues that occurred with Google Chat, Google Meet, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Cloud Search, Google Tasks, and Google Voice have been resolved for all affected users." "We will publish an analysis report on this incident after completing our internal investigation."

The service outage affected platforms that rely on the technology company's cloud hosting services and infrastructure, such as Spotify, Snapchat and Discord.

The outage began around 1:50 p.m. ET, and there were 14,729 reports of Google Cloud outages around 2:32 p.m. ET, according to tracking website Downdetector.com. Downdetector's data is based on reports submitted by users. This service outage may have affected more users.
