Some netizens speculated that the front row of economy class near the emergency exit might be a "magic escape seat."However, aviation experts pointed out that this survival had nothing to do with the seat and was more the result of extreme coincidence.
Expert analysis believes that the survivors may have been thrown away from the fuselage when the aircraft disintegrated, and the impact of the fall was small; there may be a shelter at the point of impact to block fuel splashing, thus avoiding fatal fire injuries.
In a similar case, the two survivors of the Jeju Air crash at the end of 2024 were both located at the tail of the plane, further demonstrating that civil aviation design cannot cope with such high-intensity crashes, and survival was purely accidental.
The crash site was an undergraduate dormitory of a medical school near the airport. In addition to those on board, the accident also caused casualties on the ground, including five medical students. At least 50 people on the ground have been sent to hospitals for treatment.
