Nintendo's new generation game console Switch 2 has officially gone on sale, with more than 3.5 million units sold in just four days. However, many players have complained about its poor battery life. Nintendo's official website issued a statement saying that this situation is likely due to a bug in the battery display, not a problem with the hardware itself.
Nintendo also provides detailed troubleshooting steps:
Use a charger with sufficient power to charge your Switch 2.
Update your system to the latest version.
After turning off the Switch 2, press the volume up and down keys at the same time, and press the power button to turn it on.

Keep holding the volume key until the "Recovery Mode" menu appears, entering this menu will reset the battery level display.
Press the power button again until it turns off.
After restarting, observe the battery status.
Nintendo officials also stated that if the problem is not solved after following the above steps, it is recommended to send the console for repair.
According to Nintendo, the battery life of Switch 2 is about 2.5 to 6.5 hours, and the charging time in shutdown or sleep mode is about 3 hours. This is shorter than the 4.5 to 9 hours of the old Switch and Switch OLED.
Players have previously measured the battery life of "Super Mario Odyssey" on three consoles, showing that the Switch 2 only lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes, which was far lower than the 5 hours and 30 minutes of the Switch OLED.
