Adobe has been working hard to attract users to its platform for their AI needs. In April this year, the company launched aRedesigned Firefly web app, allowing users to use Adobe’s own Firefly image and video generation models as well as third-party models.

Now they've also released the Firefly app on iOS and Android, allowing people to use all their models as well as models from OpenAI (GPT image generation), Google (Imagen 3 and Veo 2), and Flux (Flux 1.1 Pro).
Like the web app, this smartphone app lets you use prompts to generate images or videos, or convert images to videos. You can also edit parts of the image using the Generate Fill feature, or extend the image using the Generate Expand feature. Adobe Creative Cloud subscribers can launch projects on the Firefly mobile app and store them in the cloud for access via the web or desktop app.
The company now also supports more third-party models, including Black Forest Labs’ Flux.1 Kontext, Ideogram’s Ideogram 3.0, and Runway’s Gen-4 Image.
The company also updated its collaborative whiteboarding tool Adobe Canvas to enable it to generate videos. Canvas allows users to generate videos using Adobe’s own video models as well as those of its competitors.
Adobe said users have created more than 24 billion media assets using its Firefly model to date, and its AI capabilities were a significant factor in a 30% sequential increase in first-time subscribers.
