According to CCTV News,National Railway 12306 has now launched a car consignment applet, which can consign people's cars to designated locations via freight trains (using JSQ6 concave-bottom double-decker special transport vehicles).Users can jump to the WeChat "National Railway Consignment" applet through the National Railway 12306 client to handle car consignment matters.

Corresponding shipping services support new energy vehicles and fuel vehicles. After the user handles the corresponding consignment service, the staff will conduct a safety check on the items in the car and the luggage in the trunk, including the car's fuel content and battery power, to ensure that nothing goes wrong during transportation.

Currently, the platform provides multiple line options. For example, it costs about 2,289 yuan to transport a vehicle from Beijing to Shenzhen, about 2,642 yuan to transport a vehicle from Shanghai to Kunming, and about 3,999 yuan to transport a vehicle from Nanjing to Urumqi. Users can also contact customer service to submit customized route requirements.

It is understood that the price of car consignment is calculated based on the consignment distance, vehicle size, consignment method and other factors, and is generally 0.8-2.5 yuan per kilometer. The freight rates on popular routes are relatively low, while those on unpopular routes are slightly higher.

At the same time, 12306 official consignment will give away 200,000 yuan of vehicle transportation insurance. If the vehicle value exceeds 200,000 yuan, it is recommended to purchase additional insurance.
