The Xbox 360 game console launched by Microsoft in 2005 is 20 years old, and it also closed its online store in July 2024.But what is unexpected is that some players recently discovered that this old game console has received an update again, which not only replaced the recommended ads on the homepage, but also fixed the bugs in the interface.
When Microsoft closed its online store in July last year, it pushed an update to delete content such as the Xbox Store in the game console. However, this resulted in a bug where the user's game cover appeared to be overstretched or compressed on the system's home screen.

According to user feedback, the update mainly replaces the advertisements on the main screen, and changes the content that originally recommended users to purchase the Xbox One series to recommending the Xbox Series X/S series.
Another surprising change is that the game thumbnail bug on the original homepage has been fixed, and after the update, it can be displayed at normal proportions.
However, this update seems to be only rolling out in the United States. Even so, it is still quite surprising for a device that is 20 years old and has long been announced to be out of maintenance.
