It was learned from the official website of the China Association for Quality that the China Association for Quality recently released the 2023 China New Energy Vehicle Industry User Satisfaction Index (NEV-CACSI) evaluation results. The results show,In 2023, the user satisfaction level of China's new energy vehicle industry will be 80 points (out of 100 points), a year-on-year decrease of 1 point, the first decline in nine years.
Among them, pure electric vehicle user satisfaction was 79 points, down 1 point year-on-year, the first decline in nine years. Plug-in hybrid vehicle user satisfaction was 80 points, down 1 point year-on-year, the first decline in five years.
In terms of product quality,Satisfaction with automobile quality, reliability and performance design has declined significantly. In 2023, the quality and reliability satisfaction score of new energy vehicles will be 79.5 points, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8 points.
The results show that the number of failures of new energy vehicles per 100 new vehicles continues to increase. In 2023, the number of failures of new energy vehicles per 100 new vehicles will be 131, an increase of 33 times year-on-year.
Among them, pure electric vehicles broke down 132 times per 100 new vehicles, and plug-in hybrid vehicles broke down 129 times per 100 new vehicles.
As the number of failures increases, the complaint rate among new energy vehicle users is also at a high level.
In 2023, the complaint rate of pure electric vehicle users will be 20%, and the complaint rate of plug-in hybrid vehicle users will be 19%, which are 4 percentage points and 3 percentage points higher than fuel vehicles respectively.
The system with the highest number of failures is the intelligent network connection system. The five systems with a higher number of failures in pure electric vehicles in 2023 are intelligent network connection (41 times), driving, steering and braking (18 times), interior (14 times), body appearance (13 times), and battery (13 times). The number of failures in these five systems accounts for about 74% of the total.
The five systems with a higher number of plug-in hybrid vehicle failures in 2023 are intelligent network connection (43 times), driving, steering and braking (16 times), interior (13 times), body appearance (13 times), and battery (9 times). The number of failures in these five systems accounts for about 71% of the total.
The problem with the highest number of malfunctions is heavy interior odor. The main faults and problems complained by users of pure electric vehicles are strong interior odor, loud wind noise, loud tire noise while driving, automatic parking failure (problem), abnormal cruising range attenuation, blind spot monitoring (merging assist) failure (problem), failure of other driving assistance functions (problem), active braking collision prevention system failure (problem), abnormal brake noise, and obvious body shaking (vibration) while driving.
The main faults and problems complained by plug-in hybrid car users are strong interior odor, loud wind noise, loud tire noise while driving, automatic parking failure (problem), active braking collision prevention system failure (problem), blind spot monitoring (merging assist) failure (problem), loud engine noise/noise, other driving assistance function failures (problem), lane keeping assist/departure warning system failure (problem), and on-board intelligent voice assistant failure (problem).
The China Quality Association stated that the decline in satisfaction with new energy vehicles is not only an important signal in the development of the industry, but also a challenge to automobile companies and the entire industry.
On the one hand, automobile companies should strengthen technology research and development and innovation to continuously meet consumer demand for higher-quality, smarter, and more environmentally friendly new energy vehicles.
On the other hand, product quality stability should be improved, quality control should be strengthened, the number of quality problems should be reduced, and consumer pain points should be solved in a timely manner by establishing a complete service system.
