On the afternoon of July 18th, Xiaomi announced today that the Xiaomi Shenzhen headquarters building was opened. Xiaomi Group Partner and Group President Lu Weibing, Xiaomi Group Vice President and Group General Office Director Liu Wei and other senior executives attended the ceremony.
It is reported that in 2017, Xiaomi first arrived in Shenzhen; in 2020, the foundation stone of Xiaomi Shenzhen Technology Building started; in 2025, Xiaomi Shenzhen headquarters was opened. At today's ceremony, Lu Weibing said: The opening of Xiaomi's Shenzhen headquarters park is an important moment worth remembering in Xiaomi's development history. In 2019, Xiaomi moved into the new campus in Haidian, ending nine years of "drifting to the north." Today, after five years of hard work, the Xiaomi team that moved south finally has its own home in Shenzhen. Over the years, Xiaomi colleagues have worked together to witness and create the miracle of Xiaomi’s development in Shenzhen in the past five years. Thank you for all the efforts you have put into this new park. We Xiaomi people have truly become Shenzhen people with a "home".
Liu Wei said: Every time I visit Xiaomi's Shenzhen headquarters, I can deeply feel the city's vigorous innovation vitality, experience the charm of "Shenzhen speed", and witness Xiaomi's rapid growth in Shenzhen. Today is particularly special. We have ushered in the official opening of Xiaomi's new campus in Shenzhen, which marks the starting point of a new career journey for more than 2,000 Xiaomi colleagues. It is also an important milestone in Xiaomi's regional capacity building.
It is reported that Lu Weibing and other senior executives also drank millet porridge with Xiaomi employees on site. This session was also a tribute to the ten people who drank millet porridge together in the early days of Xiaomi's business.
