Attending a Coldplay concert became a globally famous scandal for Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company's chief human resources officer, Kristin Cabot, with a video of it viewed by some 15 million people in the past few days. It was certainly impossible for Astronomer's board of directors to ignore such a huge influence, and it was reported that not only did the board suspend the two men, they also issued a statement and launched a formal investigation into the matter.

Being caught on camera was definitely the last thing CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot expected, and as noted above, both have been suspended pending the conclusion of the investigation. Astronomer has released a statement (below) and published a post on X .
"AstronomerCommitted to upholding the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders should set the standard for behavior and responsibility.
The Board has launched a formal investigation into this matter and we will share more details soon.
Alyssa Stoddard was not present at the event, and there were no other employees in the video. Andy Byron has not released any statement and any reports regarding this are untrue."

It was previously reported that Byron was married and was photographed with his arms around Cabot. Just seconds after they appeared on the big screen at Coldplay's concert, the pair hid their faces to avoid being seen, but it was too late.
