Nintendo has just announced that it will be hosting a special event for Mario Kart Tour to celebrate the launch of Mario Kart World. The event will take place from July 23 to August 6, 2025, and will bring some new content.
Nintendo announced in 2023 that "Mario Kart: Tour" would stop releasing new content after 4 years of support. This point coincides with the end of the "Mario Kart 8: Deluxe Edition" track pass. This new event will introduce Mario and Luigi in mechanic uniforms, and will also add 4 different color variants of the "Little Titan" kart in "Mario Kart: World".

"Super Mario Run" (Super Mario Run) has always used activities to promote the new Mario series on the Switch platform. Hopefully this also heralds similar linkages for Mario Kart Tour in the future.
