At 5 o'clock this morning, its center was located on the offshore sea of Guangdong, about 190 kilometers east-south of Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province.The maximum wind force near the center is level 12 (33 meters/second), the lowest air pressure in the center is 975 hPa, the radius of the wind circle of level 7 is 250 to 300 kilometers, and the radius of the wind circle of level 10 is 60 to 80 kilometers.
It is understood that at 3 o'clock this morning,The Zhuhai Meteorological Observatory in Guangdong Province issued a red typhoon warning signal for Zhuhai City.
At 5 a.m., Jiangmen Taishan Meteorological Observatory and Xinhui District Meteorological Observatory upgraded the typhoon orange warning signal to red.

At 6 o'clock in the morning, the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Observatory announced that the center of Typhoon Weipha was quite close to the Guangdong land, and its spiral rainbands were thrown from east to west towards Guangdong. Typhoon Weipha will sweep across the coast of Guangdong.
The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that "Weipa" will move westward at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will also increase.It will make landfall on the coast from Zhuhai to Zhanjiang, Guangdong from the afternoon to the night of the 20th (level 13 to 14, 38 to 42 meters/second, typhoon level or severe typhoon level). It will pass over the eastern coast of Guangdong from east to west, and will move into the Beibu Gulf during the day on the 21st, and then move towards the northeastern coast of Vietnam.
