According to reports,NVIDIA has informed Chinese customers that the supply of H20 chips is limited and that the company does not plan to restart production.Recently, NVIDIA publicly announced that the H20 chip has received approval from the United States and will resume supply to Chinese manufacturers. However, the latest news shows thatDue to the U.S. sales ban in April, NVIDIA canceled manufacturing capacity booked at TSMC, resulting in limited supply of H20 chips.

H20 is an AI chip created by NVIDIA specifically for the Chinese market at the end of 2023. It was once NVIDIA's most powerful product in China's compliance sales.

In April this year, the U.S. government banned NVIDIA from exporting H20 chips to China on the grounds of national security, fearing that they might be used by the Chinese military to promote military modernization.

People familiar with the matter said the U.S. government’s sales ban in April forced NVIDIA to cancel customer orders and booked manufacturing capacity at TSMC, which produces chips.
