On the 18th local time, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal announced the final investigation report on the passenger plane crash that occurred at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, in July 2024. The report confirms,The accident was caused by the pilot inputting an abnormal pitch command before reaching a reasonable take-off speed and pulling up the nose of the aircraft prematurely, causing the aircraft to enter a deep stall after take-off and eventually lose control and crash.

The possible reason for this situation: There is a calculation error in the speed card under 18,500 kg take-off weight (TOW) produced by the airline. This error has not been discovered since the beginning of the speed card compilation, and the speed card manual has not been verified/approved.

The operator failed to identify and deal with multiple incidents of unusually high wheel lifting rates prior to this accident.

The airline had gross negligence in the planning, preparation and execution of the aircraft adjustment flight, and lacked a unified definition of the aircraft adjustment flight.

The flight involved was supposed to be a transfer flight without passengers, but in fact it carried a number of non-operational personnel including ground staff, maintenance personnel and a child. A large number of tool boxes, flammable objects and personal items were piled randomly in the cabin and were not secured.

The operator seriously violated the operation manual and ground operation manual in the entire process of cargo and baggage handling (weighing, loading, trimming and securing), and committed gross negligence.Flight preparations were hasty and the cargo was not adequately secured with ties, lanyards or blocks.(It will cause the cargo to move rapidly in the cargo hold and cause the aircraft's center of gravity to change rapidly).

In this regard, some bloggers concluded: Caotai Group Airlines killed people.

It is understood that on July 24, 2024, a CRJ-200 passenger plane of Nepalese Sun Airlines crashed shortly after taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, killing 18 people and seriously injuring one person. Witnesses said the plane exploded after falling almost vertically to the ground, accompanied by a large amount of black smoke.
