Today, an anonymous leaker with a proven track record shared the build numbers for the fourth developer beta of iOS 26 and beyond, and private accounts on X have accurately leaked internal build numbers for Apple software updates in the past. Here are all the version numbers that were disclosed:

iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 beta 4 (23A5297i)
macOS 26 beta 4 (25A5316i)
tvOS 26 and HomePod Software 26 beta 4 (23J5316g)
watchOS 26 beta 4 (23R5317g)
visionOS 26 beta 4 (23M5300g)
The account usually shares its version number a day or so before a beta is released, so it's likely that the fourth developer beta of the above update will be released on Tuesday, July 22nd. Then, the first public beta of the update will likely be released on Wednesday, July 23, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
Earlier today, Apple unexpectedly briefly made a public beta of macOS 26 available to some users, with the same build number as the fourth developer beta of macOS 26 listed above. In other words, the first public beta will most likely correspond to the fourth developer beta, as expected.
Apple previously announced that a public beta would be launched in July, but did not provide a more specific timetable.
Apple also plans to offer a public beta of its next major AirPods firmware update for the first time, but there won't be a visionOS 26 public beta.
Anyone can sign up to be a member of Apple's Beta Software Program for free and gain access to public betas when they are released. As always, we recommend that you back up your device before installing beta software, just in case something goes wrong.
