Coca Colasaid it plans to launch a new cola product made with U.S. cane sugar this fall. Less than a week ago, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that Coca-Cola had agreed to use sucrose in cola drinks sold in the United States.
Coca-Cola's second-quarter earnings report on Tuesday also showed sales growth and profit that topped Wall Street expectations as consumers continued to pay higher prices for the company's soft drinks.
As of 7:25 a.m. New York time (19:25 Beijing time), Coca-Cola's share price was almost unchanged in pre-market trading. The stock is up 13% year to date, outperforming the S&P 500.
