IntelIn a memo to customers on Thursday, it unveiled plans to spin off its Network and Edge Group and said it would seek outside investment for the business unit. An Intel spokesman confirmed the contents of the memo.
"We plan to establish the core part of our Networks and Communications business as an independent company and have begun the process of finding a strategic investor," the representative said in a statement.
It is reported that this memorandum was written by Sachin Karti. He has led the Networking & Edge group since early 2023.
In April this year, Intel CEO Chen Liwu appointed him concurrently as chief technology and artificial intelligence officer, responsible for the company's artificial intelligence strategy.
